AvMap has got a new sat nav device, Geosat 6, which has put some emphasis on safety driving. The device is equipped with “Drive Safe” alcohol sensor, which works similar to the robotic teddy bear, warns you when you’ve got too drunk to drive home.
The device’s alcohol sensor needs you to blow on it, and it’ll then tell you whether you’re too drunk and aren’t safe to drive to your destination. Of course, when you’ve got too drunk and you’re alone, you won’t realize that you’ll have to blow on the sensor in order to test if you’re fit to drive.
The device has a 4.8 inch wide-aspect touchscreen which allows easy operation by various touches of your fingers. Besides, the device is best used in car as well, as it allows you to use it as a mobile phone hands free via its Bluetooth connectivity.
AvMap The Geosat 6 Drive Safe was initially available as part of a Peugeot promotion in Italy, but now has been made available for general sale all over Europe. The device is also equipped with a “smart magnetic mount”, which allows easy mounting as well as smart enough to adjust its display automatically from portrait to landscape (or vice versa), when it gets rotated.
AvMap The Geosat 6 also equipped with an SD card slot which is for extra mapping and easy loading of data. The device measures 133.6 x 83.4 x 21mm, weighs 270g, uses TeleAtlas for mapping data. It’ll ask for a price of $702 and be available later this month.
